It's that time of year again! Of course, I am talking about the Countdown to Christmas and the flood of brand-new Christmas movies for 2022!

There is a very long list of new movies to entertain all of us this year, spread across several networks.

As we have come to expect, Hallmark is leading the pack with 40 new movies, 31 on the regular Hallmark channel, and 9 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Lifetime is coming in second in the volume race with 26 new movies. The new (at least 'new' as of last year) GAC Family channel has upped the ante this year and will be premiering 18 new original movies. And UP TV will have 17.

Each of the networks will be premiering their new movies on weekend nights, so it's best to check the schedules so you don't miss anything. We have a special TV schedule of just the
new 2022 Christmas Movies listing every scheduled viewing, with premiere dates of each movie noted.

There will be a lot of familiar faces, along with some new ones, among this year's offering of new movies.

On Lifetime we can expect to see Jodie Sweetin and Tim Rozon, Sarah Drew and Justin Bruening, Jane Seymour and Joe Lando, and Mario Lopez, Pattie LaBelle, Rita Moreno, Tim Reid, and Kelsey Grammer.

On Hallmark, the cast lists will include some fan favorites, among them Lacey Chabert, Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, Nikki Deloach, Brennan Elliot, Alison Sweeney, and Holly Robinson Peete; and Hallmark newcomer Marlo Thomas.

And during “Great American Christmas” on GAC Family we will be watching a few other fan favorites who have made the move from Hallmark over to GAC. They include Candace Cameron Bure , Daniel Lissing, Merritt Patterson, Jill Wagner, Cameron Mathison, Jen Lilley, Danica McKellar, Marc Blucas, and Paul Greene

With these networks showing movies 24/7, you can pretty much turn on your TV any time of the day or night and have your pick of Christmas movies.

And it's not just movies, many other networks are showing an abundance of other holiday TV shows - my favorites are the Christmas episodes of some of the old sitcoms!
