As many of you can probably guess, I love Christmas movies - especially Hallmark Christmas movies! Just to be clear, I also love Lifetime Christmas movies. And old classic Christmas movies! Okay, I'm a pushover for almost any Christmas movie...

With another Christmas season recently ended, many of our favorite Christmas movies from the last year or so have been released to DVD.

These are some of my personal favorites released in the last few months. Most of these movies are from Hallmark, but the last few are from Lifetime.

A Shoe Addict's Christmas (2018)
Any fan of Candace Cameron Bure's Christmas movies for Hallmark needs to have this in their own DVD collection. This movie puts a great new twist on a classic Christmas story.

Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas (2018)
This movie is based on the song by Executive Producer and country music star Blake Shelton. This is a nice feel-good story about a country music singer and small town business woman who are both trying to get home for Christmas.

Write Before Christmas (2019)
A recently single woman sends Christmas cards to five people that have influenced her life. This beautiful, heartwarming story is a little different than the usual Hallmark movie, and may be kind of reminiscent of 'Love, Actually'.

Christmas Scavenger Hunt (2019)
When Belinda heads back to her hometown for the holidays, things get complicated when she is forced to team up with her ex, Dustin, at the town's annual Christmas scavenger hunt. A little different than the usual Hallmark story, and 'When Calls the Heart' fans will enjoy seeing Kevin McGarry.

Merry & Bright (2019)
This movie follows the somewhat expected Hallmark story about the failing business at Christmas time. But it is fun movie set in a candy cane factory, so bonus points for that and the ever present festive background in many scenes. And then extra special bonus points because Andrew Walker is one of the leads!

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses (2019)
Don't let the corny sounding title of this movie put you off. It was better than the typical Hallmark movie, and Jill Wagner is quickly becoming one of my Hallmark favorites.

Down Home Christmas
Down Home Christmas is a recently released DVD set of 5 Lifetime Christmas movies.

Wish Upon A Christmas (2015)
Christmas on the Bayou (2013)
I liked all of these movies, and I think the small town southern settings are so different from the typical snow covered towns that it makes for a fun change of pace. Also, a pretty good deal for a 5 movie DVD set!

A Christmas Wish (2019)
Another Lifetime Christmas set in the Deep South, this time it's Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The story centers around the annual December tradition of placing a wooden wishing box in the park for people to place their wish in hopes that it will be granted. I don't think this movie is available on DVD yet, but it is available on Amazon instant video.

Grounded for Christmas (2019)
This movie seemed a little different than the typical Christmas romance story - even though it did center around the fake boyfriend ruse. Two airline pilots get stranded in Cleveland when a massive winter storm hits, and that's when the trickery begins. This movie also is available on Amazon instant video, but not yet on DVD.
