For many years, stores have held their best sales of the year on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving in the US).

But over the last few years, more and more major retailers have started to feel pressure from both customers and employees, and have decided that it may be better to allow their employees to spend the day with their families.

And now add to that the continuing effects of this pandemic, and many stores that have usually opened on Thanksgiving evening, have decided to remain closed this year.
