Hallmark Countdown to Christmas - March 18 2020
I am really so excited that Hallmark is continuing their yearlong 'Countdown to Christmas' again this year! And I am secretly (or not so secretly!) hoping that this is really a test to help them decide if they should launch a new year round Christmas Channel. Wouldn't that be a great idea!
I love to watch Christmas movies all year round - and I will admit that I have also been known to listen to Christmas music year round too. I just can't help it...
So far this year, Hallmark has been airing a Christmas movie every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night on each of their three networks.
The movies for this week are...
Wednesday - Hallmark Drama - Help for the Holidays
This is the story of one of Santa's elves who wonders if life offers more than just making toys for Santa. When Santa receives a special wish from a young boy in L.A., he sends Christine to visit the family. The family, it turns out, needs an intervention because mom and dad are too busy working and the children are often left alone. Christine takes on the role of nanny, hoping to help bring the family back together.
Thursday - Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - Two Turtle Doves
Dr. Sharon Hayes (Nikki DeLoach) searches for a beloved family heirloom in a small Christmas town. When she unexpectedly discovers an adorable little girl and her disheartened father (Michael Rady), she realizes that Christmas miracles really do happen.
Friday - Hallmark - Picture a Perfect Christmas
The movie centers around an extreme sports photographer (Merritt Patterson) who returns home for the holiday to look after her grandmother, and ends up lending a helping hand to a neighbor (Jon Cor) who needs a little help watching his nephew.
Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to get the Hallmark Drama channel, and the best part about that channel is that they air many of the older Hallmark movies that the other two networks don't seem to show anymore.
With recent events around the world and the scary times we're living through, this is a great time to take a break and sit down and relax and try to take your mind off of those things.
Some of the new Christmas movies from the last year or two have recently been released on DVD - maybe that will help!
And don't forget, you can always check our Christmas TV Schedule for any other Christmas movies and TV shows coming on this week.
Since many of us have been - or should be - practicing 'social distancing', this may be a good time to try one of the available grocery delivery services if you haven't already. Some of these services aren't available in all areas, but you should give Amazon Pantry a try. There may be slight delivery delays right now, but the prices are competitive and the box is delivered right to your door!
I hope you enjoy this week's movies! But most importantly, be careful and stay safe!
